1st day of California gay marriage and Fox News is already reporting that a gay couple from Memphis, TN vacationing in California got married there today. Source:

How long do you think it will be until this starts affecting traditional marriage in states like Tennessee? The courts in those states will be bombarded with lawsuits asking states like TN to uphold their marriage in some way or give them a divorce. Ironically California does not require you to be a resident there to get married, but does require you to be a resident in order to get divorced.

This is an important article that has just been added to the blog. It helps lay out why non-traditional marriage is destructive to everyone involved and society as a whole.

From Joplin, MO “Ultimately, the U.S. Supreme Court could rule that you have to recognize marriage in different states,” Hartzler said. “In the short term, we’re safe. In the long term, we’re in jeopardy. That is why it is so important we pass a federal marriage amendment.”.

Gay rights advocates seek to stop California November marriage measure through courts

I know that this is unlikely, but anyone else ready to put an end to this by passing a Federal Marriage Amendment?
